Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page
On September 26th 2006 my much loved sister Moira died. She left many people grieving for her, including a very special son who is now six. . Moira loved sport and although (being more sensible!) she never ran a marathon I think she would be extremely encouraging of me doing it ........ every step of the way.
Sadly on March 8th 2009 my father also died - the best and kindest of men and much missed. He was also an athlete and was very supportive of my marathon run.
I am planning to run the London Marathon in April 2009 in memory of both my sister and my father. I'm running to raise funds for the Samaritans, an organisation which I believe does excellent work, providing emotional support 24 hours a day.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Samaritans receives your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks - your support will be very much appreciated, not only by me, but by all those who contact the Samaritans every year (in 2007 in the UK and Ireland there were a total of 5,319,462 contacts made, by phone or in person).
With very best wishes,
Angela
