Imagine a world with no walkies in the parks? Our local parks are at risk of being built on and lost forever. So, join us and take a four-legged stand to help protect our parks by taking part in Bark for Our Parks this May.

Story

I'm Rosie and I'm doing Bark for our Parks with my Mum. I'm not quite sure what my Mum does, but she helps to protect parks and green spaces. I can't imagine what it would be like to not have my local park where I love to run, chase squirrels and watch my big sister Em play football. So that's why we're doing the challenge.

The idea is to walk 100km in May, but Mum said she once walked 100km in one go (correct - round the Isle of Wight - Editor) so we have to do more if we want people to give us money. So we're setting out to walk 200km during May - woof woof!

I'll probably do even more than that as I'm always running on and then going back to fetch Mum. We going to explore some new places, which I'm very excited about so look out for photos of me in parks and green spaces that are already protected with Fields in Trust.

If you're able to contribute, that would be lovely and Mum and I will be very grateful.

And if any of my local friends would like to join us, just Bark!

Green spaces are good and do good. They are where we move, breathe, run and play. They help us stay physically and mentally well, bring communities together, combat loneliness and are vital for climate change mitigation. We work to stop the cycle of decline and disappearance many green spaces face.
