I am running the London Marathon in 2018 as part of the Tadcaster
Harriers Running Club Team, raising money for Henshaws who are the Club’s Charity of the Year.  Henshaws have looked after my daughter Katie, who has special needs, and countless others and I’m delighted to help to raise funds and awareness of the wonderful work they do. 

Henshaws is a wonderful Northern based charity which helps to support and empower disabled people throughout the region. They have helped countless people over the many years they have been in existence, including my daughter Katie.

She has been involved with Henshaws for the past 4 years, firstly starting off at the Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough, which provides a multitude of daily activities and then moving on to a Supported Living House for the past 3 years where she has 24hr care by the Henshaws staff. 

I feel very blessed that this charity based organisation helps me with my daughter and I feel that I can give something back  by running and raising money for them.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to run the London Marathon
to raise funds for Henshaws, and to be supported by a team of runners from Tadcaster Harriers who are all running marathons and have offered to help in the fundraising effort.
