Story
In November 2021, one month from turning 40 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time, I couldn't see how I was ever going to come out the other side and the road ahead felt long. But nearly a year later, after undergoing chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy over the past year, I am now signing up to run the London Marathon in April 2023. I am very aware (and eternally grateful!) that without the research and work that charities such as Breast Cancer Now do, I would be very unlikely to be in this position today.
Now is my time to give something back and to raise money to be able to help others who are put in similar situations. Lets hope that in the future, all types of breast cancers (and cancers generally) are curable - but this won't happen unless charities such as this have the funds to continue to undertake the research they need to. Please give generously to help me reach my target, as it can affect any of us at any time.
Thank you :) xx
