We fund equipment, facilities and research to enhance the care of patients in hospital

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the back end of 2019, we found out that Dad needed a major heart operation. It was to replace his aortic root and valve as it had dilated, which is risky to leave it as is.

He had the op, where staff at the hospital operated on him for 10 hours. That is some shift for anyone! The team treated both my Dad and Mum with the upmost care and respect before and after the operation as well as during his recovery period. He is now back to full health and we have Mr Warwick and the Cardiothoracic team at North Staff's to thank for that.

Due to Covid hitting, it was cancelled twice. I recently received an email to say all future Rock n’ Roll Liverpool marathons won’t go ahead so have given me the opportunity to run it in the next few weeks! Now, I won’t get the desired time but that’s not the important bit, I want to complete a huge challenge and raise some money whilst doing so.

I will be running the Liverpool marathon on October 24th. Any money I raise will go to University Hospitals of North Midlands Charity. They fund equipment, facilities and pioneering research to enhance the care of patients in hospital. Through this charity, they are able to make things better for patients, their families and the staff who treat them.

Please help me raise some money to thank them for looking after my Dad.

Much love, Ange :)
