I am taking part in this years Great North Bike Ride . A total of 54 Miles from Seahouses to Tynemouth Priory on Sunday 30th August.( Yes i have booked the week off work afterwards) .

The ride is a charity event in aid of the Chris Lucas Trust . The trust is currently raising funds for research into Rhabdomyosarcoma, a very aggresive form of cancer & are working to help improve the quality of life of children and young adults suffering from this horrific type of sarcoma.

The ride is in memory of Chris Lucas a young man who lost his life to the disease in 2000. Chris's friends wanted to raise money after he died and thought a cycle ride would be a good way to do this. They chose Tynemouth as the end point as this is where Chris loved to go with his friends in the good times, and on his own in the bad times.

Please help me raise some money for this fantatstic charity , even the smallest amount that you can afford would be wonderful. Anything you donate will be matched by my employer Northern Rock , and if you are a UK tax payer your donation is also eligible for gift aid so suddenly a £2 donation suddenly starts looking closer to £5 for the charity.
