This is the 4th year that I have entered the Manchester 10k and so far have raised £2,487 for Genesis and hope to take this to over £3,000 this year.

Breast cancer prevention is very important to me as I have experienced the disease first hand when I was diagnosed in Feb 2012. I had the most amazing treatment and care and have made a full recovery but prevention is obviously the way forward.

This year I am taking the run seriously and am following an eight week training plan in preparation for the big day. I have no doubt Neil will have the fastest time, the boys will lope in sub 60 minutes and I will be the slowest but this year I am hopeful of a 1 hour and 5 minute time.
