In May of this year I’m embarking on a 15-day trek to the Base Camp of the world’s highest mountain, hopefully reaching the height of 18,500ft (5550m), if my legs don’t give up on me.
The reason for this trek is not only to experience some fabulous peaks and the best view of Everest, but I want to push myself to the limit to raise money for an amazing charity called .
Moving Mountains Trust is a charity based in that works mostly in and , helping street children and their families with education, health and welfare. The charity provides employment and income for a large variety of people who would otherwise be trapped in poverty.
One of the many reasons I hold this charity in high regard is because it doesn’t provide ‘one-off’ help. They build strong and lasting relationships with their beneficiaries to make sure they receive long-term support.
Many of my close friends and their families are sponsored by this charity, and have been from childhood through to adulthood. Moving Mountains has provided them with education, and supported many of them through university and later directly employed them to work for the charity. An opportunity, which without this organisation’s on-going assistance, would not have existed.
If you’d like to sponsor my trek, I’d really appreciate if you could click on the ‘donate’ button and make your donation, however big or small, to Moving Mountains Trust. Every single penny donated will go directly to the charity.
Please remember to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a taxpayer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for your donation.
Wish me luck,
Angela xx
