I only discovered Dyslexia Scotland last year when i went to one of there volenteer open days. It surely opened my eyes to the complexity of dyslexia, Having two sons with the condition I was amazed to discover that the range of difficulties they have are all linked to their dyslexia. This made me think how many people relise that dyslexia is much more complex than just reading and writing, not many, so my aim is to hopefully help people understand the complexity of dyslexia and get those that need it the help they deserve.
This will be the first time that I will have run anything never mind a 10K but I am determind to do it. I have joined the gym and have a programme to follow and it is going ok though i do feel that i may not get there. Finding it hard going and all my muscles ache. I will be running this with my daughter Nadia.
Unfortunatly the race in Edinburgh has been cancelled by organisers, but we will still be running once we have found somewhere else. so training is still on going and i think getting there though at the minute i cant see the light at the end of the tunnel. ITS HARD GOING!
Its been a few weeks now and training is going well. I have sourced another run but it will be a HALF MARATHON in September. Will clarify when i speak to Katrina from Dyslexia Scotland.
