Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I work as a registered nurse at LOROS which is a hospice for end of life care.  The hospice relies on charity funding as only approximately 3rd of finance is from the NHS and its so important for the hospice to remain for Leicestershire people. I often meet patients and/or relatives that I have known in my life and I believe most people know someone who has passed away in LOROS . My own mother's two best friends passed away at LOROS nearly 30 years ago when it first opened. Some of the nurses are still there giving their valuable experience.  I see the care given and know it is a place where I would wish my loved ones to end their life . On a positive note I wanted to complete a challenge and do my bit to help the Hospice carry on it's good work. Along with my colleagues we are going to arrange some charity fundraiser events and hope family and friends will support us.  THANK YOU ANGIE XX
