Story
In December 2013 my Dad was diagnosed with a rare leukaemia called CLL (Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia). It's one of those things you never think will happen to you and being told my Dad had cancer was a difficult experience for all of my family. My Dad was only 38, he was healthy, fit and as 'normal' as a dad can be !!
Luckily, we have an amazing family and friends.... and through the support of everyone around us we decided that we wouldn't be beaten by the disease and would make sure we have a fantastic life together, full of fun and happiness.
Sometimes my Dad is unwell and around the time when he gets tests to find out how much the cancer has spread it can be really stressful. Most of the time we live day to day like any other family but deep down we are desperately hoping there will be some cure for this and all other types of terrible diseases.
I decided I wanted to do something to help support people like my Dad and make a difference. The charity I am donating to helped my parents by giving them support and information, they can also help my Dad access drug trials when he has to have inevitable chemotherapy.
The Xtreme Wild Mud Run is a 5k challenging obstacle course race which will include water challenges. tunnels, monkey bars, fire, giant walls, cargo nets, balance beams, hurdles, jacobs ladders, tightropes and of course....lots of Mud !!!
Any donations you could give to help me get through it will be really appreciated by this fantastic charity and especially me!
Thanks for reading my story :)
