Angie's Story
As many of you know, this time last year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. You may also know that I was absolutely terrified for myself and my family. However, thanks to my surgeon Mr Perry, Christine and the Breast Care Team, and Dr Hickish, Esther and the many great Chemo nurses and support staff in Oncology, I can now call myself a survivor 😁. I will never be able to thank them enough, but thought I'd make a start to give back by raising money for the department's which got me through and those people who will need their services in the future. I will be walking for both the Breast Care Team and Oncology ward 10.
Let's be honest, for someone who drove to the local shop even before treatment, walking 8km is likely to take me some time! Luckily I am being joined on this challenge not only by my husband Adrian Collins and kids Daisy and Louis, but by my lovely sister Linda Jurado and her 3 kids Ellie, Rhys and Layla, and my friend Emily Savage and of course Alfie the dog! (The Jurado family and Emily both have their own fundraising pages if you're feeling flush!)
At least I'm not running!!!
Please share, share, share and donate as much as you can - every little really will help me reach the target. Thank you Xxxx
Angie
