Story
Well I did it - I completed the Bristol 10k (in a respectable time) and have so far raised £410 which is amazing - thank you everyone. It's not too late for anyone who hasn't yet donated to donate now if you want to. Thanks again, your support is appreciated xxxx
Today was my last chance for a long run before the event. I'm delighted to say that I ran the whole 10k! I'm also delighted with the donations - thanks everyone xxxx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was the family's dedicated non-runner. The running was something my brothers did, not their big sis. But I took the plunge last year and began running as a cheap and easy form of exercise.
So now I've entered my first race for a distance I haven't yet run. This morning I ran my longest distance and am hopefully well on the way to being able to run the 10k at the end of May.
I am running in memory of my mum who died in August 2012. She died of lung cancer and was cared for at Weston Hospice. It's an amazing place and they provided simply the best care for my mum. I support them as much as I can and this seemed like a great opportunity to raise a bit more money for them.
Mum simply wouldn't believe that I am doing this and I know that she would be proud. She was a great mum and always proud of her children.
Any donations would be gratefully received by me, my family and the Hospice.
Thank you in advance for your kindness.
