Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In July 2019 I will be riding from London to Paris to raise funds for St Catherine's Hospice, Crawley. As a lot of people know I joined Slimming World in 2015 weighing close to 30 stone. A year later I had lost over 13 stone and it has changed my life dramatically. I am so much fitter, I've experienced lots of great things, been featured in Slimming World magazine, and in the top 10 for their National Man of the Year award. At the start of 2018 I also became a Slimming World consultant and now run my own group, hopefully helping others to lose weight and feel the benefits I have!

Since losing the weight have tried to use my new found fitness to help good causes. In 2019 this ride will be my next challenge!

I am going to be fundraising for St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley; a local charity with big ambition. I chose St. Catherines as I have experienced their care first hand when I had treatment for lymphoedema. I also know many people who have experienced their incredible care of friends and loved ones coming to the ends of their lives.

St Catherine’s vision is for a world where everyone facing death and bereavement can do so informed, supported and pain free. Their team of experts are there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when they need support the most, and they rely on donations to be able to offer their pioneering care. Please donate today and help St Catherine’s be there for people when life comes full circle.
