Hello there to all my friends, family and supporters. Didn't think I would be saying it again, but, I am about to run in the Swindon 2014 Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October. This is my 4th year in a row but this year will be entirely different from other years as my old knees told me last year to pack up this lark and try something else instead. Well anyone who knows me also knows I don't like being told what to do and so I have ignored this and somehow got the idea in my head that I can still run the 13.1 miles of hills and hills and more hills!!! My challenge is to finish the full distance and if I complete this event it will be more than a surprise. Definitely no chance of any Personal Best  times this year but I cannot give up the opportunity of challenging myself. As always it will be to raise donations for The Prospect Hospice in Wroughton near Swindon where Maria was wonderfully cared for in her final days. I am hoping that she will give me the strength that she had by helping me around and being in my thoughts all the way. 8-)
