Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are planning a 50 mile bike ride, to raise money and awareness for the Melanoma UK Charity, in Memory of Simon Roe. Simon was a life long friend of my brother and I, and is desperately missed. He lived an amazing life and was cruelly taken at the age of 40, leaving his wife and three young children behind.

We are hoping that as many people as possible get behind us in riding back over routes we used to take in our younger years, and raise more awareness of this terrible cancer, which to date has no cure!

Of course that means getting back to some form of fitness, where we'll be training hard over the next few months. We are riding on the 9th of May.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Melanoma UK was set up in 2007 in memory of Jon Herron. We support patients and families affected by melanoma (skin cancer) and funds raised help to provide that support. We are funding much needed melanoma nurses along with help in vital research. Melanoma is a cruel disease, still without a cure.
