For those of you who don't know, I have been a police officer for the last 29 years, serving in both the Royal Hong Kong Police and Hampshire Constabulary. 

Recently, a colleague told me about Project65. As the big five-o draws near (I am now 48), I want to take up a challenge that will help me keep (or get?!!) fit AND help others. So, without thinking about what I am letting myself in for, I signed up to the challenge and am now asking you to please donate generously!

'RUN TO PEGASUS'

The PROJECT 65 Run to Pegasus ( http://www.project65.net/ ) is a historic 65 miles challenge run from Dorset to Normandy for the 65th anniversary of D-Day 2009. I will cover the 65 miles within 22 hours starting from Dorset at 14:00 hours on Thursday 4^th June 2009 and arriving at Portsmouth by 12:00 on Friday 5^th June 2009. Then all the runners will take the ferry toPegasusBridge to celebrate and commemorate the 65th Anniversary of D-Day on June 6th 2009.

The aim of the run is two-fold: To replicate thePegasusBridge operation of D-Day ‘man-for-man’ and to raise £500,000 for the care and support of wounded armed forces veterans.

Don’t forget that we still have a lot of service personnel working in various conflicting areas all over the world. I really hope that I can do something to contribute to the relevant charity- Help for Heroes!

Run to Pegasus (奔向飞马桥)

计划 65 之奔向飞马桥 ( http://www.project65.net/ ) 是一有历史意义活动, 由英国多塞特郡跑65英里(104 公哩) 到法国诺曼第, 先由2009年6月4日下午2时跑到翌曰6月5曰中午12时到达汉普郡朴次茅斯港, 然後乘船到法国飞马桥.

此次活动主要有两个目的, 为记念(6月6日) 諾曼第戰役打響之日 (D Day) 及为英国受伤军人筹款(总数为50万英镑).
