We are asking you to take on the challenge of Land's End to John O'Groats virtually to raise money for Blind Veterans UK!

Life was a very dark place not only for me as I felt I'd lost everything let my family down the list goes on. But it was also a dark time for my family watching me tear myself apart from something I had no control over. 

2011 I was sent to Brighton centre St Dunstans as was until 2013 when it became Blind Veterans UK. My first thought was its a hospital and I wasn't staying but Angie gave me that unique opportunity to stay or leave the family home she got her way and for that I thank her. 

Since becoming a member I have done things and gained new skills some of which I never knew I had. I got the confidence to run again, take on new tougher challenges. I have ran countless miles as well as walked countless miles with Angie and great friends. Taken part in a triathlon to which I'm hoping to to more and continue to raise awareness of the charity the best I can. 

The most important thing I can take away from my personal experience is I've made friends that are like minded and in the same place as me trying to find a path through life with little or no sight.
