Story
I'm honoured to be part of Big Moose Project £1 million by leading a team aiming to raise £10,000 in 2022 to provide mental health support to help those facing homelessness, considering suicide, or just needing help.
During lockdown, Big Moose provided therapy for many people who needed help with their mental health. Five said that without that intervention, they would have ended their lives!
So, in 2022, Big Moose wants to save many more lives - by raising £1 million to provide timely and effective counselling online and in-person to people in need throughout the UK and potentially overseas too.
For those who don't know me, I'm a 60-year-old desk jockey with terrible flat feet, who only took up running in his 50s. If I can do it, anyone can!
£10 for 10k: On or around the 10th of each month, I'm aiming to run 10k. Please join me as a virtual running partner, let me know how you get on and maybe donate £10 here. Get your friends involved too, or get sponsored? Tag me on on social media and I'll share.
Sue's big Walk: My sister Sue broke her hip earler this year, but is aiming to do a 10k walk for Big Moose. More details to come!
Fund-racer Mark: Mark Shelper is bidding to qualify for the World Hot Rod Championship Final in 2023. For every point he scores on the way, Weltch Media is donating £1, and others are already joining in too.
Look out for more updates here. I'll also post news on Twitter @aweltch and Insta @andyweltch
In 2020, 5224 people took their own lives in England and Wales. Please help us reduce this number. Thank you in advance.
