Story
It’s only four months since I completed the London Marathon and I’m already making plans for my next one this September. I found the whole London experience very inspiring and representing Breast Cancer Care was a huge privilege. That’s why I’ve been busy training ever since in preparation for the New Forest Marathon.
With your generosity we have already raised close to £10,000 for Breast Cancer Care, but I’m determined to do even better this time. So, yes, you’ve guessed it, I’m asking you to dig deep into your pockets once again. The work done by Breast Cancer Care is hugely important and I feel we need to do more to support the work they do.
The inspiration from London stems from one particular moment when a spectator stepped out from the side of the road, looked me in the eyes and said, “thank you Andy.” It was a young woman whose life had clearly been affected by breast cancer given the look of sincerity on her face. This gave me the energy to complete the race. It’s this same motivation that has driven me to run another marathon and raise valuable funding for this deserving cause.
