Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May this year I signed up to run the Manchester half marathon in October and raise money for North Manchester Children's Hospital.
In June this year we found out that my 5 year old daughter has a brain tumor. She has undergone Brain surgery already for a biopsy and the plan for treatment has now been finalized, they have said a weekly course of Chemotherapy for 84 weeks. We are at the start of a very long journey as a family and just hoping for positive results along the way.
The work they do here is amazing and the care they have been providing for us as a family has been what we have needed in this most testing of times.
The hospital is currently campaigning to raise money for a new iintra-operative MRI scanner and this is a cost of £4 million. I'm hoping to raise £250 or more towards this by completing the Manchester Half Marathon.
As i mentioned earlier, i had already chosen this charity to raise money for before the news we got in June. I tend not to believe in fate but it feels like fate now that we are under their care.
