Story
I'm taking part in the Great Manchester Run and challenging myself to complete a half marathon!
This distance by far exceeds my regular 5km parkruns but I'm keen to push myself and raise money for a worthwhile cause in the 75th year of our NHS.
NorthCare Charity helps Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust deliver outstanding care across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford by funding innovative equipment, education, research and wellbeing activities.
One example is helping to fund equipment for the new RAPTOR trauma unit serving those most critically ill from traumatic injuries all across Greater Manchester and into the Peak District.
Having worked as part of the critical care team in the past, I know what a difference new equipment would make to diagnosing and treating those who need our help
Help me reach my goal by supporting me whatever way you can, whether it's a kind donation or a clap and cheer along from the roadside on 21st May.
Thanks,
Andy
