Story
Bob is the name I gave to my tumour (thanks for the idea cousin Dave). Bob made himself known at the end of 2016 and after being sent away following initial treatment, Bob returned to visit me at the end of 2021.
I have recently finished a 12 month treatment of immunotherapy which has had some success, though a "mini" Bob remains active and so further "maintenance" treatment will be required soon.
Although there is no cure for Follicular Lymphoma, there are multiple treatments available which will hopefully allow me to say au revoir to Bob for a while yet. Navigating these various treatments and understanding the disease progression can be very challenging and Lymphoma Action have provided an invaluable source of up to date information to help me stay informed and ask the right questions of my medical team. Having this knowledge has also helped me feel more in control and have some peace of mind over my situation.
The information provided by Lymphoma Action on ongoing research and clinical trials provides me with hope that one day I may be able to say Bye Bye Bob for good.
