Story

Please sponsor me for this wonderful cause....

Those of you who have known me for some time will know that 2 years ago, I was a smoker and not particularly fit, and would get the car out to go half a mile to get my lunch.

I managed to give up smoking but started to put on weight and realised I had to do something – but what?  Jogging? No way...the gym isn’t really my thing...so I settled on cycling.  I can remember the first time I did 2 laps of Forfar loch (around 7 miles) and thought I was going to die!!  But – I persevered – and in just 14 months of cycling, I regularly cycle an average of 20 miles a day, with my top distance of 74 miles! And so here I am, about to take up the challenge of cycling from London to Brighton.....and I would really appreciate if you would dig deep and sponsor me for this event.  We all know someone who suffers or has suffered from heart problems, and so this cause should be close to everyone.  Any amount would be fantastic – it all adds up.

Thanks for taking the time to read my wee story, and wish me luck
