I always vowed never to do a Marathon - just too much hard work.  However on the 27th October 2011 this changed when my dad had what was descibed as a 'significant stroke.' 

This is obviously still very early days but he's a fighter and by god he'll try and win this battle.  The least I can do is get off my rear end and try and make a difference.

Please give me anything - even if you don't know my dad - he is deeply loved by everyone who knows him and is always the life and soul of the party - saying that he can also be a grumpy old man who always has to have the last word - must be a family thing!!
