We help Naval children in need to change and improve their lives

Story

We are all friends or family of George. I am George's dad, Andy. I am not able to run a marathon or similar activities due being here 24/7 for George. Therefore I will carry out of marathon of tasks over 60 days and nights for George.

As a group my friends were unsuccessful in the ballot application for the 2022 London Marathon, they decided to hold their own events on and up to the 30th October. A pause in fund raising took place during the period of national mourning.

George is 12 years old and an incredibly talented young man - a keen musician. George was born with blindness and later on in his young life was diagnosed with autism, pathological demand avoidance and high anxiety. There were no appropriate schooling options for George in his home town on the South Coast, leading us to move around the country numerous times before finding home and settling in Lincolnshire.  All funds raised through these events will go directly towards George’s needs.

The purpose - to raise funds for George through a range of physical and sporting challenges to help equip his home based educational and learning spaces.

Here, Lourdes (George's mum and my wife) and I have dedicated everything we have to build a home and environment where George can be educated in a space which will increase his confidence and where he can thrive. We know this is what every Mum and Dad would do for their children. I had to stop work in 2020 to give George a chance of progressing forward.

To ensure George has every available opportunity to develop is only possible with the support of charities like the Naval Children's Charity and other fundraising events and donations.
