Walking the Whole South West Coast Path, 11 June 2018
We are Rainbows Hospice, our mission is to support the children that need us most

Story

The South West Coast Path is a beautiful but tough and challenging walk. It is 620 miles long and ,in feet climbed ,the equivalent of scaling Everest four times. Yet strangely I have wanted to tackle it for several years.

It starts in Minehead Somerset . It follows the coast all the way through North Devon, North Cornwall, round Land's End and then into South Cornwall, South Devon and finally Dorset.

Rainbows is the only hospice for children and young people in The East Midlands. Only 15% of their funding comes from government bodies so the incredible care they give depends on donations. It is an amazing place. I have visited as a fund raiser. Our office has supported them. They care. They do so much more but the love support and care they give to children and their families is the most humbling thing I have seen.Ever.

The walk will take me 46 days starting on 11 June 2018 . I have a detailed route and timetable and would be delighted to share it with you . If you are down that way please do come and say hello or even share some miles with me.

My employers ,GateleyPlc ,and my colleagues have been helpful in giving me the opportunity to undertake the walk ( which is completely self-funded).

Your support for Rainbows is very much ,appreciated.

Thanks

Andy
