Story
Parkinson's is a devastating disease which impacts thousands of people across the UK. Despite being first characterised over 200 years ago by James Parkinson, there are still no treatments which stop Parkinson's developing and there is no cure. Researchers at the University of Dundee are working hard to change this. We are actively fundraising to establish a Parkinson's research centre here in Dundee which will make critical breakthroughs in the disease and ultimately change lives.
You can read more about the ground-breaking Parkinson's research in Dundee here: https://www.dundee.ac.uk/parkinsons
Over the month of June I will swim, bike and run the equivalent distance from my home in Dundee to James Parkinson's former home in London which is 770 km, and I'll try and do as much of this as possible wearing my lab coat. I'll provide updates of my progress on this page.
Many thanks for your support.
