Story

Hi All,

I am hiking to raise money for the Renal unit at the Bradford royal infirmary, a truely wonderful group of professionals, people  who myself and a great many others owe a great deal.

I personally suffer from a genetic  kidney disorder known as Cystinuria, although incurable it is manageable  and I have always had the best of care and advice from my consultant and the staff at the Renal unit at the Bradford royal infirmary.

Being a rare renal disease Cystinuria does not get as  much attention as some other diseases but it can be equally as debilitating, painful and quite frankly, life changing as can all forms of kidney disease.

All monies raised will go directly to the Renal unit and contribute to much needed technology, research, staff welfare and also into many other areas, if the money makes just one persons life that little bit easier, it's a winner.

I will be taking part in the Yorkshire Ultra 100 challenge on the 23rd and 24th July 2022, this will involve a hike / climb from Pately bridge along the Nidderdale way taking in Ripley castle and Gouthwaite reservoir, a total of 100km (62 miles) with 1830mts (6000ft) of climbing over a two day period.

So basically, i would love you to donate, any amount, large or small, for which you will have mine and a great many others eternal gratitude.

Many thanks

Andy Heward
