Gibbo 200 · 10 September 2021

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

Gibbo is a former work colleague who has dedicated the last 30 plus years to helping the community in his role as a paramedic. Gibbo is a passionate rugby fan and referee, and whilst refereeing a match collapsed and was very ill for a number of days - subsequently he was informed he had terminal cancer. Gibbo has been logging his journey through social media and has been an inspiration, and in doing so has touched many of our hearts. Gibbo has been through some gruelling treatments yet continues to win his fight against this disease. I personally have been inspired by his attitude and courage and in spirit would like to show my support for him and his family by doing this run as a small token to raise money for his chosen charity.
