Story
Agreeing to run 7 coastal marathons in 7 months for charity seemed all very well when I agreed to it back in February but now here we are...
The challenge starts in Dorset on the 7th November, then Gower in December, Portland in January, South Devon in February, Pembrokeshire in March, Cornwall in April and finishes in Exmoor in May. If you want to find out more about the courses and the challenge then click on this link:http://www.endurancelife.com/event.asp?series=29After a spring/summer of training I completed a practice 1st marathon at the start of October, finishing feeling delirious but proud.
I'm running for the RNLI because I can't think of too many more heroic things to do than volunteer to head out to sea day or night, in hurricane strength gales with waves as high as double decker buses to rescue others. All this without a penny of funding from the UK government.
All the money donated will be spent on lifeboats, equipment and training. It costs nearly £1000 to kit out a single crew member.
I'll keep this page updated with my progress, photos from each marathon and tales of just how many toenails I've lost.
Please donate what you can and help me to make a difference.
