Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have a personal interest in the fight against MS. My mother in law has one of the most servere forms of this condition and to see this is heartbreaking.
Having seen how MS affects the lives of people living with this condition and their family members has really been a sobering reality check. As a normally healthy person I have always taken for granted the things in life that I can just do with ease.
For people living with MS these little things are taken away, gradually over time. Once you have MS it stays with you for life. The cause and cure of this condition have not yet been discovered, but as with any clinical research this is an ongoing process that requires extensive testing.
This condition affects roughly 3 times as many women as men and the usual period for diagnosis is between the ages of 20 and 40 and affects roughly 100,000 people in the UK alone.
Last year I challenged myself to run the Yorkshire Tough Mudder and raised just short of £600 through donations form very kind people. This was easily the hardest thing physically I have done. This year I thought of how I could up this and adequately challenge myself to hopefully raise funds and awareness of this condition.I thought why the hell not run all 7 of the UK dates of the 2014 Tough Mudder season. That is roughly 175 obstacles and 84 miles of hills, mud, water, fire and electric shocks.

I am aware that 1 person can't change the world but with a lot of effort from myself and some very kind donations and support from others I hope to make some kind of a difference.
