<p><span style="border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 15px;">Edinburgh Marathon = 26.2 miles<br />Parish Walk = 85 miles (in 24 hours)<br /><br /><span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;">On 22nd May, I'll be taking on the Edinburgh Marathon course. I've never done one before, and with luck, I'm aiming to finish in around 3hrs 30mins.<br /><br />Then after finishing my final set of exams at college, I'll be hopping over to the middle of the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man for the Parish Walk on 25th June. This is a ridiculous 85-mile slog around the island in 24 hours - I didn't even make it half way last year, but am going to take the preparation a bit more seriously this year!<br /><br />I'm raising money for Shelter because I feel it's a really important cause, especially in the current economic climate - whilst some of us might be suffering 'hardship', this really pales in comparison to many people throughout the UK. Please give generously!&nbsp;<br /><br />In total, I'll (hopefully) be running/walking at total of 111.2 miles, so sponsoring me 10p per mile would be a very reasonable donation of &pound;11.12.
