Story
On Friday 1st July I am joining the team of my customer Booths and a number of their other suppliers to help raise funds in support of their charity work on behalf of Cure Leukaemia. Last year Booths raised over £100k but their work is not done there.
Riders, runners and walkers will take part in either a 175km cyclo-classic ‘Tour O' Booths’ around Lancashire, or a 17.5km run/jog/walk circumnavigating Preston - 'Le Jog'. I am participating in the latter to play my part in support of their fine work in raising valuable funds for the charity.
This year marks the 175th anniversary of Booths and I would love to raise at least £175.
Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
