Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Today there are an estimated 24.9 million slaves in the world - Hope for Justice exist to bring an end to modern day slavery by PREVENTING exploitation, RESCUING victims, RESTORING lives and REFORMING society.
Hope for Justice have rescued hundreds of people, including babies younger than one year old and adults up to the age of 63
Every year I take part in a Challenge to raise funds to support this incredible work - this year is a bit of a special one as it involves two very important numbers for me in 2019 :10 years since Hope for Justice started to change lives & end slavery and 50 years since I was born !
So I am going to combine these milestones with my love of running and the passion that I have to see an end to slavery,
On April 5th I am going to run 5 sets of 10 km which will give me a daily total of 50 km !
I am going to complete the 5 runs in 5 different locations so Amsterdam ( Netherlands ), Brussels (Belgium ), Paris ( France ), London ( UK ) & my home town of MeltonMowbray.
By doing this we will show how easy it is for a person to move or be moved, that it effects many countries but can end up being a local problem.
First run will start at around 4am in Amsterdam & ( if trains run on time ) I am hoping to be in Melton Mowbray for 9.15pm – you are all
invited to join me in Melton Mowbray to either run or walk 5km or to join the10km final run.
Thank you for your support - it is really appreciated, always humbled at the sacrifices that you make and thankful that we get to do this together.
