Jacqueline's Slim Down For MND

Slim Down For MND · 10 July 2021
Hi,
I was completing Tough Mudder 2020, then 2021, now 2022 as it was rescheduled then cancelled.
My Dad was diagnosed in September 2020 with MND and, thanks to lockdown, I've witnessed myself him being able to manoeuvre with his rolator to now needing wheelchairs, and downstairs extension and wet room and around the clock care.
It's a ruthless disease and he's had his fair share of health conditions with cancers, diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, Ig4 Immuno deficiency, holes in his heart, stroke after stroke and stroke, Whimple operation to remove a tumour which was not, in fact, a rumour with long lasting mental health impact, depression, paranoia and deteriorating mobility.
This was a man who went to the gym regularly, ran half marathons, never smoked a day in his life, liked a drink, but, who doesn't?
We need a cure.
I may not be able to train and participate in an event due to COVID and restrictions but I can still do something to raise money.
I've always been overweight. Currently gained the lockdown load and it's something I can do at home, during COVID restrictions, to raise money for MND and Dad.
Donate what you can. Even join in.
Thank you.
