Story

Thanks for visiting my help for heroes, Band of Brothers Bike Ride, fundraising page.

Having spent the autumn in Helmand Province I feel like I'd like to do my little bit to help our injured service personnel.

It was very sobering to witness the MERT Chinook regularly bringing wounded soldiers to the hospital in Bastion and even more so to hear about the devastating injuries that the troops had suffered. We often hear on the news about those killed in action, but hardly ever about the details of those injured. Headly Court is populated with young service men and women who have sustained dreadful life changing injuries, many having lost multiple limbs.

Alex Cunningham (a TA colleague) and myself are going to join the help for heroes ride from Cherbourg to Paris and hopefully raise enough money to do our small bit for a very worthy cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks to the following for offline donations;-
