Dr Wordsworth's Coastal Path Walk

Fundraising for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity
Receiving a terminal diagnosis can be a devastating shock
for patients and their families. Having worked as a local GP since 1993 I have been privileged to support many families during the final weeks and months of a loved ones life. I have therefore seen first hand the compassionate care and dedicated support offered by a variety of professionals in providing end of life care in patient’s homes and at the North Cambridgeshire Hospital. An integrated 24/7 palliative care “hospice” service has been the top priority of Wisbech Local Commissioning Group since 2013 however it has become increasingly
clear that if we are to achieve this, it will require joint funding from the
voluntary sector as well as the NHS. That is why I intend to walk the Norfolk Coastal Path from Hunstanton to Cromer (46 miles) over in May 2016 for the charity Arthur Rank. Arthur Rank now lead on much of the development of palliative care in Wisbech. I am assured that any money I can raise will be used for this purpose. Who knows? Some day it may be you or someone you love who needs to use our services. Please give generously to support this local development. Furthermore I will personally match any donations up to a maximum of £500.
