My daughter Ellen has recently been diagnosed with Crohn's, having suffered for many years. Very little is known about why the illness effects so many people, I thought I would try to raise awareness and a some of money for research.

Those of you who know me will be surprised that I am contemplating running at all, having spent many years complaining about asthma and arthritis ....... But I have managed to drag my bones into the gym and get to a level of fitness that has allowed me to start running.
