Story
My son was born with talipes (clubfoot) in his right foot, two weeks after he was born his feet were measured for severity, for 6 months of his baby life he was in casts, every week the cast would come off, the foot was measured again and then positioned for another cast. After 6 months he had minor surgery on his tendon, then was in cast for a further 3 months, he then moved into a single ADM boot/brace. He has since relapsed and has been in a further 2 casts. A decision was made recently to put him in 2 boots with a Dobbs bar as his leg muscles are too strong for the single brace, hence the relapses. This is our last hope of getting the correction he needs without the need for major surgery.
He is now nearly 2 years old, he is a very happy little monkey and he walks brilliantly, if it wasn't for the correction early this would not be possible. He still will require to wear the boots and bars at night time till at least school age, but this is to maintain the position he has achieved.
I am raising for this charity to raise awareness and help, there are soo many babies being born with talipes and have it much worse than my son has it.
