Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am not a hater, but... I hate cycling. I hate lycra. I hate cycling behind someone in lycra. I hate energy gels. I hate cleats and pedals made for cleats. I particularly hate bicycle seats. And punctures. And hills. And narrow bikepaths. And definitely, I hate road humps (I would say sleeping policemen, but apparently that could be misconstrued in the twittersphere).
Grumpy though I may be, one weekend at the end of August I will be back on the bike to cycle from Dalby to Chinchilla via Tara and Miles (no narrow bikepaths there, no bikepaths actually) to raise funds for Aussie Helpers. I am doing this because many Australian farming families are struggling and they deserve our support and Aussie Helpers gives them that support. And because Helen Debenham (organiser) knows where I live.
I hope you will support me/us/them - by registering to ride (all riders pay their own way and agree to target $1,500 in additional fundraising), and/ or by donating to this cause in recognition of my efforts to overcome my anti-bike, anti-lycra tendencies and ride 260km
