Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I lost my dad, David, to kidney cancer in April 2001, shortly after his 66th birthday. He had only retired the previous year and was properly diagnosed in January 2001. I have always wanted to do something in his memory; something that would raise money to help research.
So I have decided to cycle almost 900 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End in just 7 days.
Accompanying me will be my friend Pete Tarrier who lost both his parents to cancer and is fundraising for Breast Cancer Campaign.
All this starts on May 28th when we drive to Scotland. We start cycling on 29th May and hope to arrive at Lands End around 2pm on 4th June (fingers crossed!).
There will be a support vehicle with us all the way loaded with spares and, more importantly, food and drink! This has been loaned to us by A&M Car and Van Hire. The company have said sponsors can pay to have their names on the side and all the proceeds will go to the charities. If you are interested in this, please contact me or any of my family.
