TOUGH MUDDER
#WeGoAgain
I never thought I would be gearing up to do another Tough Mudder event after recent injuries and surgeries, and at short notice too, but here we are, less than a week to the event – this one is going to hurt!
Why? Having recently experienced first-hand the great work Rochdale AFC Community Trust do for its Military Veterans, I jumped on board when the opportunity arose to help the trust and the wider community in raising essential funds for some of the other projects, they are involved in.
The event is of course for charity.
Rochdale AFC Community Trust is a registered charity with a mission to make Rochdale a better place to live, work and play.
We run football teams (Ladies, Military Veterans, Walking Football and Ability Counts) and various other projects, such as disability sport sessions, helping people find employment, mental health programmes and sessions for vulnerable older people, as well as supporting Springhill Hospice.
Rochdale AFC Community Trust engaged over 15,000 people in 2020, delivering schools programmes, Premier League Kicks, college education and various other projects across key themes of sport, health, education, employability, and inclusion.
The Trust has worked tirelessly on the club’s behalf for over 30 years becoming a registered charity in 2007.
We are passionate about getting people of all ages and backgrounds to be more active and to educate them how to look after their bodies and minds so that positive behaviour changes can be sustained. We are committed to providing extra support and specific interventions for those who are struggling and need extra help.
Thank you for supporting our community.
