Story
On the 4th of November 2007 my cousin Paul whilst serving as Royal Marine was wounded in Afghanistan, in the months and years since then Help for Heroes have support Paul and his family in his rehab and recovery.
Help for Heroes supports those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces. No matter when someone served, they believe that those prepared to put their lives second, deserve a second chance at life.
I will be trekking alongside over 40 other supporters and veterans accompanied by Berber guides and a small caravan of camels. The trek from low mountains of beautiful Jebel Sarhro passing through small oases and low sand dunes, to desert hills and open desert finishing in the small town of Taghbal with remote night camps with camp fires under star-strewn night skies.
With this challenge gives me the opportunity to raise vital funds that will allow Help for Heroes to support other families like mine.
