The Epilepsy Research Institute’s mission is to radically advance research for the #Onein100 people living with epilepsy. A life free from epilepsy is possible. But only through research We need energetic, adventurous and creative people like you to help us raise vital funds for epilepsy research!

Story

Hi everyone, September 10th 2022 I embark on a 100km / 62 mile run along the Thames path (Thames Path Challenge 2022). As many people reading this already know, my wife lost her sister Jasmine Purvey in 2021 suddenly after an epileptic fit. At 28 years old she left a young son, mum, dad, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, nans and her sister behind. More needs to be done for such an unforgiving illness so I am choosing Epileptic Research UK to receive the funds that are kindly donated. Please only donate what you can afford and every little will help towards the above goal.

If anyone is interested in following my training please let me know and I will send you my Garmin credentials. I also plan on having a tracker with me on the day for the event so you can watch but please note, I will be on the move for around 17 hours.

Thank you all so much, from all of us.

Epilepsy interrupts the lives of ordinary, extraordinary people. It’s invisible. It’s unpredictable. It’s frightening. Epilepsy Research UK is the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to driving and enabling life changing, life saving research into epilepsy.A life free from epilepsy is possible.
