Story
"For many years, probably even decades, I've said that when I am 50 years old, I will cycle from Land's End to John o' Groats. Well, that milestone was reached in April and so here I am, alongside my two mad accomplices, Chris and Stephan about to take on the challenge!"
"Why fundraising for BRACE? Dementia is something that has touched my family on a number of occasions, so much so that my Father signed up to be an active member of their research. Sadly after a short illness, he passed away in May 2021, so to continue the family involvement with BRACE, I have chosen to ride for the charity that was so close to his heart."
Below is some more information about the charity. Any donations towards this cause will be most gratefully received.
BRACE exists to defeat dementia.
Our aims are to help:
Provide the means by which medical science comes to understand what causes dementia in its various forms.
Achieve earlier diagnosis of dementia, thereby giving new treatments and knowledge of prevention more time to make a difference.
Find new and more powerful treatments.
Our area of benefit is the whole human race – anyone, anywhere who might one day develop dementia.
