CHANGE OF PLAN

Originally i was going to be cycling then performing a wing walk in June but due to restrictions I am now going to be taking on a different challenge.

I will be attempting to cycle from Bristol to Honiton on  the 7th august this year to preform a skydive on the 8th August then cycle home again. All for Wallace and Gromits Grand Appeal and Cots for Tots.

It will roughly be around 200Km’s cycling in total with each trip taking 5-6 hours.

I only stared cycling a year ago so this will be a huge test of fitness with the added challenge of a sky dive in between.

I am aiming to raise money for a fantastic charity in Cots for Tots and Wallace and Gromits Grand appeal.

When our daughter Vienna suddenly arrived 11 weeks early me and my partner Fay got to see how these amazing charities help other families who aren’t as lucky as us to live on the doorstep of a critical care hospital.

Being 11 weeks early weighing only 2 pound 8 and being delivered by emergency caesarean Vienna had multiple issues to overcome. We were amazed by the treatment and care we received as a family. She overcome problems with her heart, lungs and a grade 3 Intraventricular haemorrhage. After multiple treatments at St Michael’s plus loads of love and care and Brain surgery at just 10 days old at BRI children’s hospital we were so happy to finally take our little miracle home after ten weeks in hospital to grow into a healthy strong and cheeky toddler! The Cots for Tots house allows parents to have a place to stay whilst their child is in the hospital and although we never used the facility we got to know parents who did, the pressure this took off of there time in hospital was a huge benefit to them and because of this and the amazing care and treatment our daughter received I would love to try and give something back.

Cots for Tots appeal raises money to ensure the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital is equipped with the latest pioneering medical equipment to help save lives and support the excellent care provided by the clinical teams at the unit. Since 2010, Cots for Tots has funded millions of pounds worth of equipment, research, patient comforts and family accommodation.

Thank you.
