I have never run a half marathon before and wanted in some way to help with cancer research. Recently one of my longest standing friends was diagnosed with cancer. He is only 1 month older than me and it made me think hard about how this disease can affect any of us. My wife has entered me in to the race and I am hoping to raise enough money to make a small contribution to cancer research.
