Having an eye disease myself has made me particularly appreciate the value of sight. Christian Blind Mission is a charity I have long supported who do great work in developing countries helping those with eye diseases and other disabilities.    Many millions around the world are blind and it is estimated that 75% of blindness could be cured.  For instance a cataract operation costs £24 and I'd love the legacy of my 60th Birthday to be that we raise enough money to restore the sight of 60 people.
