Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
On the 22nd May 2017 I had a very successful 12hr operation to remove a benign brain tumour (acoustic neuroma) at Manchester Salford royal, Manchester skull base unit.
I am raising funds and awareness for the FBT Foundation in collaboration with Manchester skull base unit. This is a charity providing support for training & research related to skull base disease.
This incredible team has a massive place in my heart, from my very first appointment to now they have made me feel so relaxed and so positive about everything I’ve had to deal with. I don’t just feel like another patient I feel part of a new family 😇❤️
Also I’ve had brilliant treatment from Manchester eye hospital and still receiving, plus I must mention the brilliant treatment and support I received from The Lindens clinic for facial & electro physio.
My recover has gone very well as I’m very positive but the support from close family, close friends.
This year 2020 has been very challenging for everyone and especially the fantastic charity’s in the uk, like most people don’t know how much incredible work they do behind the senses until we our selfs need them😇❤️
It only feels right to be giving my little bit back to this incredible skull base team, they have given me a second chance in life💙❤️
So I’ve set my self a massive challenge 12IN12 , 12 marathons in 12 months most organised events but the rest will be around my local area🙈💪🏼 Wish me luck 💪🏼😃
Massive thank you to all I’ll keep you posted on my training.
Positive thinking positive outcome 💪🏼❤️
